Le nombre d'heures est le temps que dure l'\u00e9chantillon avant que la rouille rouge n'apparaisse sur le m\u00e9tal de base - et non le temps qui s'\u00e9coule jusqu'\u00e0 la d\u00e9faillance totale, ni le temps qui s'\u00e9coule jusqu'\u00e0 ce que le rev\u00eatement se d\u00e9colore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Deux normes r\u00e9gissent la proc\u00e9dure : <a href=\"https:\/\/www.astm.org\/b0117-19.html\" rel=\"nofollow\">ASTM B117<\/a>La norme ISO 9227, dominante en Europe et en Asie, et la norme ISO 9227, dominante en Am\u00e9rique du Nord. Les deux utilisent la m\u00eame solution saline 5 %, mais la norme ISO 9227 sp\u00e9cifie des tol\u00e9rances de chambre plus strictes. Une charni\u00e8re \u00e9tiquet\u00e9e \"240h\" doit toujours \u00eatre accompagn\u00e9e de la r\u00e9f\u00e9rence de la norme - \"240h selon ASTM B117\" ou \"240h selon ISO 9227 NSS\" - sinon le num\u00e9ro n'est pas informatif.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Un malentendu fr\u00e9quent consiste \u00e0 consid\u00e9rer les heures de brouillard salin comme des heures de service. Ce n'est pas le cas. Le test isole un mode de d\u00e9faillance (corrosion g\u00e9n\u00e9rale sous brouillard salin continu) et l'acc\u00e9l\u00e8re. Il ne simule pas l'exposition aux UV, les cycles sec-humide, l'usure m\u00e9canique ou le couplage galvanique. Il n'est pas correct pour tout ce qui est en contact avec de l'air humide quotidiennement. En pratique, une charni\u00e8re 96h install\u00e9e \u00e0 l'ext\u00e9rieur pr\u00e9sentera des taches blanches d'oxyde de zinc au bout de quelques mois et de la rouille rouge au bout d'un ou deux ans. Le syst\u00e8me de rev\u00eatement est plus lourd et le processus de d\u00e9faillance est plus lent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>240h est le bon indice pour les armoires ext\u00e9rieures \u00e0 l'int\u00e9rieur des terres, pour les int\u00e9rieurs industriels humides et pour les projets situ\u00e9s \u00e0 quelques kilom\u00e8tres de la c\u00f4te, mais pas directement sur le littoral. Au-del\u00e0 de cette distance, la concentration d'a\u00e9rosols de sel diminue fortement et l'indice 240h a tendance \u00e0 bien r\u00e9sister. Il existe quatre raisons r\u00e9currentes, mais aucune d'entre elles ne signifie que le rapport d'essai \u00e9tait frauduleux.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tout d'abord, le test est statique alors que la charni\u00e8re est dynamique. L'ouverture et la fermeture font fl\u00e9chir le rev\u00eatement au niveau du pivot, ouvrant des microfissures que le test en chambre n'atteint jamais. Deuxi\u00e8mement, le test ne tient pas compte de la corrosion galvanique - associer une charni\u00e8re en acier inoxydable 500h \u00e0 des vis en acier au carbone sur un mur humide est une exp\u00e9rience de chimie, pas une solution de fixation.
